In year 2018, the diamond clear mission of SabriScan's is to deliver moulds internationally. We are on the path we went to in 1998. We look at the needs of end customers 20 years ago and we are hearing the thoughts of mould makers at the same time. European mould makers all complained about the unpredictability of end customers, the demands on unrealistically low prices and short delivery times. At the same time, the needs of end customers were growing enormously, but customers did not experience the support of mould makers.
SabriScan realized that this is a new business in the normal way - which can be solved by a new, comprehensive business model, technical excellence and extensive cooperation. This had created a space for a new company, SabriScan Oy. Our original intention was to help mould makers to enhance their own business. Our role was to deliver new production skills, top-tuned machining skills as coaching services. We also wanted to supply the necessary machine tools, CAM software, cutting tools, workpiece fasteners and tool holders by means of technical trade. Nearly 90% of Finland's mould needs were imported. In our eyes and in our speeches, we had the ideal visions to lower that amount and repatriate mould production. In 1998, we predicted that the world's metal manufacturing industry will dramatically change over the next few years. At that time, we argued that the mould industry faces ever greater need for agility, multi-expertise, the introduction of new technologies, LEAN management, partnership networking. We told that the materials will be much more difficult to machine in the future. We said that product varieties are always more complicated to make while the number of variations explodes into growth. We also argued that these operating drivers are also moving to the traditional machine shop industry. We said that those who are unable to efficiently produce individual workpieces or short sets with mass production efficiency and cost will be destroyed. We predicted the operating model where the most efficient and most profitable companies can make very difficult machining for difficult materials in unmanned series, while workers control multiple work tasks rather than just machining. In the SabriScan model, we have the machines to do the work of the machines and allow our employees to make their jobs challenging and skilful. We had analysed mould manufacturing chains and found numerous bottlenecks in accordance with TOC theory. One of the biggest bottlenecks was and still is a huge slow, labor-intensive and expensive spark erosion machining. We were delighted that more than 80% of EDM work could be replaced. Today, 20 years later, we can happily say that we were all right. And we are still right when we continue to protect our original ideals. We enjoyed our own medicines in 2018. We got ignorance, denial, laughing, arrogance, and even aggressive behaviour in the manufacturer. As a LEAN-start-up company, we investigated our own plans, achievements and made a bold change in our direction - after listening to our main end customers. We learned that our talents were trustworthy, and we could very well deliver them moulds - instead of trying to get other mould makers to step up their activities. In 2004 we turned a new magazine in our lives. We became a mould maker. Over the years, we have been in close cooperation with exceptional visionaries, our true top professionals and our successful customers. We are grateful for the voice of the customer, Voice-Of-the-Customer, to hear our ears. Together, we have created great solutions for challenging situations. Our customers have been exceptionally successful in the fierce competition. As a result, they have improved their profitability and turnover, gaining valuable prizes at Red-Dot, iF and SPE Automotive Innovation Contests. As a result of our innovative employees, we have created SabriScan Methodes for the manufacture of extremely precise parts of the automotive industry. Through our multi-axial machining, our employees have created revolutionary methods for machining spiral bevel gears. Today, these methods have displaced the ancient methods of monopoly in 2018. The end customers are again satisfied. Of these achievements, SabriScan has gained publicity, and TEKES and HIgh-Tech-Finland organizations have informed our technology know-how around the world. The same impetus for our own people has contributed to design, production control, projecting, polishing, assembly and global logistics management. The company has been the result of financial AAA certifications, has passed through the demanding EFQM-Excellenceassessments, passed the ISO9001: 2015 and VDA-6.x audits, won the Technical Merchandise and Services Association's Solutions Business Award honors, earned a Certificates for successful company of the Year. In addition to satisfied customers, employees and stakeholders, the owners have been happy to be. SabriScan Oy is a safe and trusted partner in our promise. A strong financial background provides security for our employees and our customers in times of volatile and change-sensitive times. Our original motto was: "Time decides". It is crucial that the time to manufacture is as short and effective as possible. Reducing time will be achieved by existing resources without increasing capital intensive investments or the number of staff. The customer cannot be billed for this. Customers should be offered low cost solutions - shortening the delivery time. Delivery security ie the promised delivery time should be 100%. By doing things the first time, the quality is 100 percent. An integral part of this strategy is to understand this moment, this time. It is important to identify the current market situation, the needs of customers, changes in the world - and proactively change before others and make the right brave solutions. I am grateful but proud to find that the best indication of the goodness of SabriScan Oy is that after the global financial difficulties we are still alive, in good shape and in a strong growth career. We have maintained and strengthened our position in our strategic agility. When we encountered difficulties, we did not have to keep the achievements but went to the world to make ourselves and Finland known - and wanted. Our subsidiaries in India, Romania and Finland are all valued and customer-oriented. We will continue building our network with strong growth expectations. Our intention is to be within 5 years of the most important international locations with our own business units.
